Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION: The present invention provides a cloud computing adoption framework for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) employing a risk-based approach integrating fuzzy logic and decision trees. The framework addresses the critical challenges faced by SMEs in adopting cloud computing, including security concerns, limited IT capabilities, financial constraints, and regulatory compliance requirements. The invention comprises systematic components for identifying and evaluating adoption benefits and drivers, identifying and evaluating adoption concerns and barriers, mapping appropriate interventions to address concerns, and managing information practices in cloud environments. The framework incorporates fuzzy logic to handle the inherent uncertainty and imprecision in assessing adoption factors, enabling nuanced risk evaluation through continuous membership functions rather than binary classifications. The decision tree component of the invention provides clear, hierarchical adoption pathways based on the evaluated risk factors and organizational context.
