Abstract: The present invention relates to a Cloud Based IoT System for Plant Health Monitoring designed to provide automated, real-time, and intelligent monitoring and management of plant growth by integrating Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, environmental sensing, and nutrient management technologies. The system comprises a plurality of sensors configured to continuously acquire plant and environmental parameters including soil moisture, soil temperature, ambient temperature, relative humidity, light intensity, and other relevant growth parameters. In addition, nutrient sensing means are provided for monitoring essential soil nutrients, particularly nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), thereby enabling assessment of the nutritional condition of the plant and soil. The sensed data is transmitted through an IoT communication module to a cloud-based platform, where the data is stored, processed, analyzed, and visualized. A user-friendly mobile or web-based interface enables authorized users to remotely monitor plant health, environmental conditions, soil moisture, and nutrient status in real time. Based on predefined threshold values, crop-specific requirements, or user-defined parameters, the system automatically controls irrigation and nutrient delivery mechanisms. The system can generate alerts or notifications when any monitored parameter deviates from an optimum range. The invention reduces manual intervention, minimizes water and fertilizer wastage, improves resource utilization, and facilitates precise and timely plant care. The proposed system is particularly suitable for smart agriculture, greenhouse cultivation, nurseries, home and urban gardening, and other controlled or semi-controlled growing environments, thereby contributing to improved plant health, productivity, and sustainable agricultural practices.
