Abstract: ABSTRACT CLOUD-BASED GEOSPATIAL DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR STRATEGIC URBAN AFFORESTATION A cloud-based geospatial decision support system (100) for strategic urban afforestation planning comprising a decoupled two-tier architecture with a backend data cruncher pipeline (110) and an interactive frontend decision support system (150) operating on a cloud computing platform (170). The backend pipeline acquires and processes multi-source satellite imagery to derive normalized land surface temperature, vegetation index and population density criteria layers, and generates a combined ground-level and rooftop suitability mask (130). The processed data is stored as a pre-computed asset (172). The frontend loads the pre-computed asset and provides interactive weight control sliders (154) feeding a multi-criteria decision analysis engine (140) that computes a composite afforestation priority index in real time using weighted map algebra with automatic weight normalization. A zonal statistics module (160) aggregates priority data at administrative boundaries and generates ranked visualizations with bi- directional navigation between charts and spatial maps. [
