Abstract: The present invention discloses the development of a cloud-assisted breast cancer prediction platform through the utilization of medical image analytics and machine learning for early, accurate and automated breast cancer detection. The proposed platform captures medical images from mammography, ultrasound, MRI, and digital breast tomosynthesis machines and sends the captured images to the cloud environment for further processing. In the cloud environment, an image preprocessing system improves image quality before segmentation and feature extraction which involves morphological, texture, statistical and deep learning features. A machine learning prediction engine classifies the breast lesion into one of the following categories; normal, benign, suspicious, or malignant and assigns diagnostic confidence scores. Finally, the classification output along with annotated images and patient records is stored in the cloud database and presented to physicians via the physician’s dashboard. The proposed framework utilizes continuous learning to improve its predictions through feedback from validated clinical outcomes. FIG.1
