Inventor includes Dr. Dhirendra Nath Thatoi.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A cloth iron cord management assistive device comprising, a body 101 developed to be mounted on lower periphery of a cloth iron, plurality of suction cups 102 are arranged in view of securely mounting body 101 on iron, an imaging unit 103 to determine dimensions of iron, an expandable L-shaped plate 104 to expand/contract for getting deployed over handle of iron, an ultrasonic sensor for determining position of cord of iron, a robotic arm to acquire grip of cord for coiling cord, a motorized iris lid 107 for getting opened/closed to allow insertion of coiled cord inside lid, in a secured manner, a linear pusher body 101 to extend/retract for applying corrective force onto twisted portion of cord, to straighten cord, thus preventing tangling of iron’s cord, a C-shaped flap 106 installed to provide converging/diverging movement to flap 106 for covering damaged portions of cord.
