Abstract: ABSTRACT This invention discloses a Passive Thermal-History Reconstruction and Closed-Loop Actuation System for cold-chain logistics. Addressing signal variance and unmonitored transit blind spots, the system employs a custom passive RFID tag featuring co-located exposure and reference elements sharing a single antenna. During interrogation, a centralized cloud server receives raw backscatter data and performs differential normalization, canceling out spatial, distance, and orientation variables to isolate time-integrated thermal exposure. The server incrementally reconstructs an accurate internal temperature-time curve by solving an inverse thermodynamic problem constrained by the package's physical properties ($R$-value and thermal mass). Automatically calculating a statistical confidence interval based on checkpoint density, the system executes closed-loop actions without human intervention: high confidence of thermal breach triggers physical facility control commands (e.g., dock lockouts, conveyor diversion) via API, while low confidence triggers sensing commands to dispatch mobile RFID assets. Historical confidence data enables predictive asset pre-deployment across logistics networks.
