MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099016 A) filed by Pemmadi Bagya Laxmi on August 14, 2026, for Closed-Loop Cryogenic Ambient-Heat Engine System For Simultaneous Power Generation And Cooled- Air Production And Method Thereof.
Inventor includes Pemmadi Venkateswara Rao.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a closed-loop cryogenic ambient-heat engine system (100) for simultaneous generation of power and cooled air using hydrogen and helium as cryogenic working fluids. Liquid hydrogen from a cryogenic hydrogen storage tank (102) is pressurized by a first feed pump (106), vaporized in a first evaporator heat exchanger (108) using ambient heat, and expanded through a first turbo expander (110) to generate power. Expanded hydrogen vapor is condensed in a hydrogen condenser (114) using cryogenic helium and returned through a first condensate feed pump (116). Liquid helium from a cryogenic helium storage tank (118) is pressurized by a second feed pump (122), passed through a helium condenser (124) and the hydrogen condenser (114), heated in a second evaporator heat exchanger (126), and expanded through a second turbo expander (128). A cryogenic refrigeration unit (134) assists helium condensation before return through a second condensate feed pump (132).
