MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078899 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 26, 2026, for Closed-Loop Bioelectronic System For Adaptive Vagus Nerve Stimulation.

Inventor includes Dr. Bhupesh Chander Semwal.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a closed-loop bioelectronic system (100) for adaptive vagus nerve stimulation. The system (100) comprises a biosensing module (105) configured to sense an inflammatory biomarker signal (130), a signal processing unit (110) configured to process the inflammatory biomarker signal (130), a control unit (115) configured to generate a stimulation control signal (135), and a vagus nerve stimulation module (120) configured to deliver electrical stimulation to a vagus nerve (125). The control unit (115) adjusts at least one stimulation parameter based on the processed inflammatory biomarker signal (130). A feedback loop (140) enables biomarker response after stimulation to update subsequent stimulation control. The system (100) thereby coordinates biomarker sensing, signal processing, stimulation control, and vagus nerve stimulation.
