Abstract: Abstract Closed-loop adaptive RGB illumination system with channel-specific output correction A closed-loop adaptive RGB illumination system comprises an RGB illumination unit (101), independently controllable driver circuits (102, 103, 104), an illumination sensing arrangement, and a controller (105). The controller receives a user-defined target illumination state through a wireless interface and obtains sensed information representative of ambient and/or actual illumination. A deviation between the target illumination state and the sensed illumination is determined, and channel-specific corrected drive signals are generated for independently controlling red, green and blue illumination channels. Updated illumination information is subsequently sensed and the correction is iteratively repeated until a predetermined correspondence condition relative to the target illumination state is attained. The system thereby dynamically compensates for variations in ambient illumination and/or individual channel operating characteristics while maintaining the desired illumination state.
