Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION CLIMATE-ADAPTIVE WATER DEMAND ESTIMATION AND FORECASTING FOR DATA CENTRE FACILITIES A computer implemented method (1000) for climate adaptive estimation and forecasting of water demand in a data centre facility is disclosed. The method (1000) includes receiving (1002), by one or more processors, facility data including an operational load parameter, an efficiency parameter, a cooling technology parameter, and climate data for a plurality of time intervals. The method further includes transforming (1004) the facility data into a cooling technology representation corresponding to water intensity of a selected cooling technology and a climate responsive representation corresponding to variation in water demand across the plurality of time intervals. Periodic water demand values are generated (1006) using the operational load parameter, the efficiency parameter, the cooling technology representation, and the climate responsive representation. A forecast feature representation is generated (1008) from at least the periodic water demand values, the cooling technology representation, and the climate responsive representation. A multi period water demand forecast is produced (1010) using a trained predictive model and the forecast feature representation.
