Abstract: A clamping assembly is described, comprising a support frame, first and second movable plates mounted on the support frame, and a lead screw assembly. A motor coupled to the lead screw assembly via a transmission mechanism, which enables synchronized movement of the movable plates in opposite directions relative to a centre position. A controller receives position and current data from sensors and controls motor operation based on this data to move the plates toward each other and achieve a target clamping force.
