Abstract: City twin: explainable and privacy-aware real-time smart city monitoring and emergency decision support Abstract: The present invention relates to a privacy-aware CityTwin framework for real-time monitoring and emergency management in smart cities. The framework integrates heterogeneous data from IoT sensors, traffic systems, environmental and utility networks, weather services, and emergency platforms. A data-processing module synchronizes and privacy-processes the data, while artificial intelligence detects and predicts urban emergencies. A digital twin simulates emergency scenarios and evaluates response actions, including traffic-signal adjustment, emergency-route prioritization, and resource allocation. Explainable AI provides prediction confidence and contributing factors, while access control and secure aggregation protect citizen information. Final emergency actions remain subject to authorized human approval.
