The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT CINEOLE-FUNCTIONALIZED THERANOSTIC LIPID NANOPARTICLE SYSTEM FOR INTRANASAL ALZHEIMER DELIVERY The present invention discloses a theranostic nanostructured lipid carrier system (100) designated CinMet-FABetaCD-AuNLC for intranasal nose-to-brain delivery in Alzheimer disease. The system (100) comprises a gold nanoparticle core (110) providing intrinsic CT contrast, a poly-beta-cyclodextrin scaffold (120) formed by epichlorohydrin crosslinking, a folic acid targeting moiety (130) conjugated via CDI/EDC-NHS coupling for folate receptor alpha mediated BBB transcytosis, a glyceryl monostearate lipid matrix (140) as the NLC shell, 1,8-cineole (150) encapsulated in cyclodextrin cavities as a tight junction opener and therapeutic agent, and metformin (160) co- encapsulated as an OCT1/2 transporter ligand and AMPK-activating neuroprotective co-drug. The system integrates therapeutic delivery, receptor targeting, tight junction modulation, and CT imaging in a single scaffold for metered-dose nasal spray administration through olfactory and trigeminal nerve pathways.
