MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641083407 A) filed by Saveetha Institute Of Medicaland Technical Sciences on July 07, 2026, for Chemical Simulator Using Vr.

Inventor includes Dr Sathish Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: Chemical disasters, including industrial chemical leaks, toxic gas releases, and chemical warfare incidents, pose serious risks to both public safety and first responders. Traditional training methods for handling these high-risk situations are limited due to safety constraints, high operational cost, and lack of realistic exposure to dangerous environments. To address these challenges, this project proposes a Virtual Reality (VR) Simulator for Training in Chemical Disaster Response, designed to provide an immersive, interactive, and risk-free learning experience for NDRF personnel and emergency responders. The VR simulator recreates real-world hazardous environments such as chemical plants, industrial storage facilities, and transportation spill sites, where trainees can practice critical response tasks including hazard identification, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) handling, containment procedures, decontamination, and casualty evacuation. The system integrates dynamic chemical spread modeling, real-time hazard alerts, and multi-user coordination to enhance team-based decision-making under pressure. Performance evaluation tools track trainee actions, timing accuracy, and protocol compliance to support continuous improvement.By combining immersive simulation technology, safety-oriented training design, and realistic emergency response workflows, this VR-based solution significantly enhances preparedness and response capability for chemical disaster scenarios. The simulator enables safe, repeatable, cost-effective training that equips first responders with essential skills and confidence needed to protect lives and minimize damage during real chemical emergencies
