The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: A chemical coolant composition and method of preparation thereof is provided. The chemical coolant composition includes ammonium carbonate as a primary endothermic coolant and polyethylene glycol-4000 as a binder and secondary endothermic coolant, for reducing the temperature of hot gaseous combustion products generated by a solid propellant gas generator. Upon exposure to hot combustion gases, the coolant composition undergoes endothermic decomposition over multiple temperature ranges, thereby absorbing heat and reducing the temperature of the gaseous stream. The cooled gaseous stream is suitable for inflation of temperature- sensitive structures, including inflatable decoys, space habitats, life rafts, airbags, and other inflatable systems.
