Abstract: ABSTRACT CHARGING FRAUD DETECTION Examples relate to charging systems for subscribers in a telecommunication network. Charging fraud can be detected by implementing mechanisms to perform integrity validation on parameters of CDRs including subscriber and device identities, and possibly including GPSI, IMEI, IMSI, Cell-ID, location information, and the like. Modification may be made to any of the parameters that have been determined to be invalid. Modification could mean one or more of the following examples: changing values of the parameters; flagging the parameters as invalid; or flagging the CDR as invalid. Reporting can be performed related to the parameters (or CDRs) deemed to be invalid (or valid). Multiple network functions of a core network of the telecommunication network interact to perform the integrity validation and to act on or report results of the integrity validation.
