Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE) are disclosed. The UE may receive multiple channel state information (CSI) reference signals via multiple CSI reference signal (CSI-RS) resources. Each CSI-RS resource may be associated with a plurality of ports, the plurality of CSI-RS resources may share a same quasi co-location parameter, and a first quantity of ports associated with the plurality of CSI-RS resources may be equal to a second quantity of ports indicated in a codebook. The UE may generate a CSI report in accordance with the codebook and further in accordance with a permutation applied to a plurality of precoding parameters associated with a mapping between a plurality of port indices corresponding to the ports associated with the plurality of CSI-RS resources and a plurality of precoder row indices of a precoding matrix. The UE may transmit the generated CSI report.
