Abstract: CERTIFICATE AUTHENTICATION FOR TRANSPORT LAYER SECURITY Example embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to certificate authentication for transport layer security (TLS). In a method, a first apparatus receives information of a capability of a second apparatus. The capability indicates that the second apparatus supports an exchange of a first certificate, the first certificate being related to a second certificate. The first apparatus performs a procedure for establishing a connection of transport layer security (TLS) based on the second certificate. The first apparatus performs the exchange of the first certificate with the second apparatus. In this way, the certificate authentication of TLS may be achieved. The security of the connection between the consumer and the producer of the connection of TLS may be improved.
