Abstract: The present invention provides a nanostructured composite article for topical application comprising a lipid carrier core co-loading curcumin and resveratrol within a blend of coconut oil, castor oil, shea butter and sucrose distearate stabilised by sorbitan monooleate and heptyl glucoside, and a surface-anchored corona of 3 to 5 nanometre citrate-capped cerium oxide nanozymes having a controlled cerium(III) to cerium(IV) surface ratio of 0.4 to 0.6 anchored through carboxylate-mediated bridging interactions formed during post-homogenisation cooling. The composite article exhibits hydrodynamic diameter of 300 to 350 nanometres, polydispersity below 0.3, zeta potential more negative than minus 40 millivolts, sustained release of both polyphenols over 72 hours, substantially lowered IC50 for ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging, enhanced cutaneous retention without transdermal permeation, and 90-day room-temperature stability. A scalable process for preparation is also provided.
