Abstract: The present invention relates to a centralized, web-based marketplace platform configured to connect student entrepreneurs operating small businesses within a college community with prospective customers drawn from the same community. The proposed system provides a unified platform combining seller registration and identity verification, product and service listing management, categorized discovery and search, a shopping cart and checkout workflow, order tracking, secure payment handling, a seller-facing dashboard, and a wishlist and review mechanism. The system receives seller registration information, including college identity credentials, and validates the seller prior to granting access to listing functions. A verified seller may create, edit, and manage product or service listings, which are organized into predefined categories and made discoverable to customers through search, filtering, and a browsable storefront. A customer may add listed items to a shopping cart, proceed through a multi-step checkout comprising shipping address entry, payment method selection, and order review, and complete payment through an integrated payment workflow. Upon order placement, the system generates order records that are shared between the customer and the corresponding seller, and provides status tracking through defined stages including processing, shipped, delivered, and cancelled. A seller-facing dashboard presents sales statistics, recent orders, inventory status, and order management controls, allowing the seller to update order status and manage product stock. The invention is intended to increase the visibility of student-run businesses, establish customer trust through a verified-seller mechanism, and provide a structured, trusted, and centralized transaction environment within a campus community.
