MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110338 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 14, 2026, for Causal-Aware System For Spatiotemporal Reality Drift Detection Using Ambient Physical Fields.
Inventor includes Siddharth Arora.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A causal-aware physical monitoring system detects spatiotemporal inconsistencies among heterogeneous ambient physical fields. A synchronized sensor array acquires magnetic, acoustic or infrasound, thermal micro-gradient, low-power electromagnetic and electrostatic measurements, which are conditioned and aligned before causal evaluation. A causal model bank containing physical priors and data-refined causal relationships evaluates cross-domain consistency. When an inconsistency is identified, a counterfactual intervention engine tests alternative explanations including simulated sensor degradation, modality suppression and environmental perturbation to distinguish sensor-originated effects from environmental or systemic anomalies. Confirmed anomalies are further evaluated for spatial and temporal propagation across sensing nodes, while sensor-attributed inconsistencies can trigger adaptive weighting or calibration correction. The system provides physically grounded anomaly detection and interpretable alert generation for distributed monitoring environments.
