Abstract: ABSTRACT The increasing need for accurate livestock data and reliable breed identification has led to the development of Cattle Sense - AI-Based Cattle & Buffalo Breed Classification System. This application is designed to function as a smart, transparent, and field-ready artificial intelligence platform that assists Field Level Workers (FL W s ), veterinarians, and livestock officials in identifying Indian cattle and buffalo breeds using real-world images. Cattle Sense provides AIgenerated breed predictions based on visual phenotypic features captured through mobile cameras. The system processes images taken under practical rural conditions, including poor lighting, motion, varied angles, and complex backgrounds. Instead of relying on manual judgment, the application generates top-ranked breed predictions with confidence percentages, enabling informed decision-making. The system is designed to integrate with Bharat Pashudhan App (BP A), providing real-time breed validation during livestock registration. By eliminating human error, inconsistent classification, and miscommunication, Cattle Sense enhances data accuracy, supports government livestock programs, and improves long-term livestock planning and policy implementation.
