Abstract: CATALYTIC WASTE-TO-ENERGY CONVERSION SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL CHEMICAL EFFLUENTS A catalytic waste-to-energy conversion system (100) for treating industrial chemical effluents is disclosed. Industrial wastewater received at an inlet (102) is stabilized in a pre-treatment and equalization tank (104, 106), treated by coagulation, flocculation, and sedimentation tanks (110, 112, 114), and filtered (116) to produce treated water collected in a treated water tank (118), suitable for reuse or discharge. Separated sludge and solid by-products are collected in a sludge/by-product holding tank (122) and chemical/sludge mixing tank (120), and at least a portion thereof is processed by a purified gas generation unit (124) to generate a purified gas. The purified gas fuels a gas turbine (126) that drives a first generator (128), while exhaust heat is recovered via a heat exchanger (130) to raise steam for a steam turbine (132) that drives a second generator (134), forming a combined-cycle arrangement. Exhaust gases are treated by desulfurization (136), baghouse filtration (138), and SCR (140) before discharge through a chimney (142). A cooling water circuit (144) and cooling tower (146) recirculate cooling water to the equipment. The system integrates wastewater treatment, resource recovery, heat recovery, electricity generation, emission control, and water conservation, converting industrial effluent into a source of electricity, reusable water, and recoverable material.
