The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A catalyst for converting polyolefin waste into olefin-rich hydrocarbon oil and a process for converting polyolefin waste into olefin-rich hydrocarbon oil are disclosed. The catalyst has mesoporous support. 0.5 wt.% to 10 wt.% of a transition metal element and 0.1 wt.% to 5 wt.% of an alkali or alkali earth are impregnated on to the mesoporous support. A feed of dried and shredded polyolefin waste is added into a reactor along with the catalyst in an inert atmosphere to obtain a mixture. The mixture is heated at a temperature in a range of 400-600 °C at a rate ranging from 5-20°C/min in an inert atmosphere to obtain vapor. The vapor is condensed to obtain the olefin-rich hydrocarbon oil.
