Abstract: ABSTRACT CASHEW NUT SHELL BREAKING MACHINE The present invention discloses a cashew nut shell breaking machine (10) for reducing the manual effort and time consumption for to extract the nut from cashew shell. The cashew nut shell breaking machine comprises a power source and a hopper heater. The hopper heater (11) is configured to store the cashew nut shell at its inner area for heating it constantly by means of motorized rotation. The fixed blade is rigidly positioned vertically at the bottom of hopper heater. The moveable blade (19) is operatively connected with a motorized cam by means of a connecting rod. The motorized cam converts the motor rotary motion into linear movement of the blade in horizontal direction along with minor vibration. The spring (16) is positioned in parallel to the connecting rod for returning the moveable blade towards the initial position. The blower is configured to remove the smaller particles from the shell breaking area. The nut separator classifies the nuts and waste shell by means of plurality of holes. The removable tray (21) is configured to collect the nuts at its bottom area due to gravitational force. The present invention (10) will increase the productivity of extracting the cashew nuts from shell in an effective manner.
