MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611054107 A) filed by Shiv Nadar Institution Of Eminence Deemed To Be University on April 28, 2026, for Cascaded T-Tank Resonant Converter For Load-Independent Constantcurrent Constant-Voltage Output.

Inventors include Kirshan Kumar Gautam; Amitabh Chatterjee; and Dinkar Prasad.

The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a resonant Direct Current to Direct Current (DC–DC) converter (100) for an electric vehicle (EV) charging system. The resonant DC– DC converter (100) includes a transmitter unit and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit has a high-frequency inverter adapted to excite a resonant compensation network at a fixed switching frequency. The receiver unit is connected to respective windings and is adapted to establish resonance at the desired operating frequency. The receiver unit includes a first bidirectional Alternating Current (AC) switch (Sa), a second T-section, and a second bidirectional Alternating Current (AC) switch (Sb). The first bidirectional AC switch (Sa) is configured to selectively connect an auxiliary capacitor (Ca) in parallel with a second compensation capacitor (Cs) of the receiver unit. The second T-section includes a first series inductor (Lb1), a second series inductor (Lb2), and a shunt capacitor (Cb).
