Abstract: A carpet installation assistive device comprises of a C-shaped body 101 having two ends each referred as a first and second end 103, a handgrip 104 is provided on the body 101, for handling the body 101 during usage, a microphone 105 to provide voice command specifying an operation to be performed on a carpet laid on a surface, a motorized cutter 106 for cutting the carpet, an air blower 108 to blow air on the dispensed glue, for drying the glue, a spindle 109 having zig-zag bulge-out texture to roll the spindle 109 over the carpet, for allowing the glue to better grip the carpet and the surface, improving overall bonding strength, an imaging unit 110 to detect obstacle on the carpet during cutting, a speaker 111 to notify the user regarding any obstacles.
