Abstract: Abstract Disclosed is a cardiovascular risk calculator for allergic rhinitis patients. The calculator comprises a calculator housing, a lipid input interface, an allergic rhinitis input interface, a processing unit, a risk assessment controller, and a display unit. The lipid input interface receives a serum total cholesterol value and a serum HDL-cholesterol value. The allergic rhinitis input interface receives an allergic rhinitis severity grade. The processing unit calculates an atherogenic index from the serum total cholesterol value and the serum HDL-cholesterol value. The risk assessment controller generates a cardiovascular risk category from the atherogenic index and the allergic rhinitis severity grade. The display unit displays the cardiovascular risk category. The calculator provides a condition-oriented arrangement for assessing cardiovascular risk in allergic rhinitis patients by combining lipid-derived atherogenic information with allergic rhinitis severity information in a compact device.
