Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an intelligent retinal imaging-based system (100) for cardiovascular risk assessment. The system (100) comprises a subject (102), retinal image acquisition module (104), image preprocessing module (106), retinal feature extraction module (108), feature selection and reduction module (110), artificial intelligence and/or machine-learning analysis module (112), cardiovascular risk scoring module (116), risk factor integration module (118), risk stratification module (120), report generation module (122), and output interface (124). The retinal image acquisition module (104) acquires a retinal image (106) of the subject (102), which is processed to extract and select relevant retinal features. The artificial intelligence and/or cardmodule (112) analyzes the selected features to generate a cardiovascular risk prediction. The cardiovascular risk scoring module (116) determines a risk score, while the risk factor integration module (118) integrates retinal features with subject-related risk parameters. The risk stratification module (120) generates a corresponding risk category, and the output interface (124) provides the assessment to an authorized user (126).
