MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107617 A) filed by Easwari Engineering College; and Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Ramapuram Campus on September 08, 2026, for Cardiosense Ai: An Intelligent System For Automated Heart Valve Analysis And Cardiovascular Risk Assessment.

Inventors include Meenasundari M; and Dr. R. Dharaniya.

The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.

Abstract: CardioSense AI takes on a genuinely hard problem in cardiology: turning heart valve calcification into a clear, usable measure of cardiovascular risk. The process starts with an Attention U-Net that segments the valve region, so the system focuses only on the anatomy that matters. From there, a CNN scans the segmented area to detect calcified patches and pull out key imaging features, while a BiLSTM works in parallel on the patient's clinical history, picking up temporal patterns doctors might otherwise miss. These imaging features feed into the Adaptive Valve Damage Index, condensing calcification burden into a single severity score. A multimodal transformer then combines imaging data, AVDI, and clinical history to produce a personalized risk prediction. Grad-CAM shows which regions drove that prediction, confidence estimation flags reliability, and everything comes together in a web dashboard with an AI-generated clinical report.
