Abstract: Carboxymethylcellulose based Hydrogel Formulation with Essential Oils for Advanced Wound Healing and Scar Reduction This invention describes a carboxymethylcellulose (CMC)-based hydrogel formulation infused with essential oils, including curcumin, eucalyptus, and sandalwood, for advanced wound healing, controlled drug delivery, and scar reduction. This biocompatible, eco-friendly hydrogel matrix provides a stable platform for the sustained release of therapeutic agents, addressing critical stages of wound healing such as inflammation reduction, tissue proliferation, and tissue remodeling. The synergistic properties of the essential oils offer antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative benefits, surpassing the efficacy of individual oil treatments and conventional products. Physicochemical properties, such as pH balance, viscosity, and spreadability, are optimized for clinical applications. Validated through in vivo testing, the formulation demonstrates superior wound contraction, accelerated healing rates, and minimal scarring compared to marketed alternatives. Scalable and safe, the hydrogel offers transformative potential in wound care, bridging natural therapeutic agents with modern drug delivery compositions for medical and cosmetic applications.
