The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: The invention discloses a carbonation-based lime plaster composition and method of preparation and application thereof. The composition comprises hydrated lime, recycled ceramic powder, processed bio-organic powder derived from agricultural biomass, natural fibres, and fine aggregates. The hydrated lime undergoes atmospheric carbonation to form calcium carbonate, thereby densifying the matrix. The ceramic powder enhances particle packing and reduces porosity, the bio-organic powder generates controlled microporosity imparting thermal resistance and moisture regulation, the natural fibres provide crack-bridging reinforcement improving fracture toughness, and the fine aggregates provide dimensional stability. The method comprises sieving and conditioning of constituents, dry mixing of mineral components, incorporation of bio-organic powder, dispersion of fibres, gradual addition of water, maturation of the mixture, layered application, and curing by initial moist-protected conditioning followed by ambient carbonation curing. The invention achieves improved workability, reduced shrinkage cracking, enhanced adhesion, abrasion resistance, impact toughness, and measurable thermal insulation.
