MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641111841 A) filed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on September 17, 2026, for Carbon Dioxide Responsive Window Ventilation System For Split Air-Conditioned Spaces And Method Thereof.

Inventor includes Srinivasan, Shriram.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: A window ventilation system (100) for an enclosed space having a split air-conditioning unit is disclosed. The system (100) includes sensors (102) positioned within the enclosed space to acquire a set of environmental parameters. A control unit (108) evaluates carbon dioxide concentration against a lower carbon dioxide threshold and an upper carbon dioxide threshold and determines an opening position of a window between a closed position and a fully open position based on the acquired environmental parameters. A motor driver (110) provides electrical drive to a motorized actuator (106) for moving window to the determined opening position. The control unit (108) subsequently evaluates the carbon dioxide concentration to determine a subsequent opening position of window. A wireless communication module (112) transmits the acquired environmental parameters to a remote computing platform (114). The system (100) provides repeated environmental monitoring and window position control according to changing conditions within the enclosed space.
