MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087002 A) filed by Banasthali Vidyapith; and Nukta Kaushal on July 16, 2026, for Carbon-Aware Orchestration Kiosk.
Inventors include Nukta Kaushal; and Dr. Manisha Agarwal.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a carbon-aware orchestration kiosk for controlling execution of containerized workloads based on carbon intensity information. The kiosk comprises a kiosk housing, an embedded server, a processor, a memory, a user input interface, a network communication module, and a cluster communication port. The user input interface receives workload control input including carbon threshold, workload priority, delay permission, or cloud region selection input. The network communication module receives a current carbon intensity value from a carbon data source. The processor stores the workload control input and current carbon intensity value, generates predicted future carbon intensity values, compares the current and predicted values with the workload control input, determines a workload orchestration action selected from workload delay, scale-up, scale-down, and regional workload shifting, and transmits the action to a container orchestration platform controlling at least one containerized workload server.
