The system (100) comprises a user interface module (110), a task classification module (120), a carbon intensity simulation engine (130) incorporating regional baselines and industry-specific scaling factors, a decision engine (140) that evaluates task urgency and carbon intensity against configurable thresholds to execute or queue tasks, a data storage module (150), a sustainability scoring module (160) that incentivizes environmentally responsible scheduling through green scores, and an analytics dashboard (170) providing real-time carbon visualizations and leaderboard rankings. The decision engine (140) directs urgent tasks for immediate execution and defers non-urgent tasks during high carbon intensity periods, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of cloud computing operations while maintaining system responsiveness for critical workloads.
