Abstract: Abstract The present invention relates to a nutraceutical capsule comprising standardized tuber powder of Amorphophallus paeoniifolius (Elephant Foot Yam) and a method for its preparation. The tubers are subjected to washing, peeling, controlled drying, pulverization, sieving, and encapsulation to obtain a stable oral dosage form. The prepared formulation is evaluated for phytochemical, physicochemical, microbiological, and nutritional characteristics to ensure product quality and stability. Preliminary phytochemical analysis confirms the presence of bioactive constituents including flavonoids, alkaloids, phenolic compounds, glycosides, carbohydrates, and dietary fiber. Physicochemical evaluation demonstrates acceptable moisture content, ash value, and flow properties, while FTIR analysis confirms characteristic functional groups and DSC analysis indicates satisfactory thermal stability. The formulated capsule exhibits desirable quality attributes and is suitable as a functional food supplement with potential hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, and gastroprotective properties. The invention provides a standardized, stable, and industrially applicable nutraceutical formulation for promoting health and supporting disease prevention.
