MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641107925 A) filed by The Lone Creator on September 08, 2026, for Capstan-Based Rope Actuation System.
Inventor includes Komareswaripeta Chakravarthi Kailash.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: A mechanical actuation system (100) incorporates a housing unit (102) that supports and encloses all components, with a rotating shaft (104) transmitting rotational motion. A friction-based drive interface (106) fixed to the shaft engages a closed-loop flexible tension member (108), converting rotation into linear motion. Guided by a plurality of rollers (110), a tension member (108) drives a primary hammer (112), which generates controlled displacement. Additionally, the system (100) encompasses a secondary hammer (114) coupled to the primary hammer (112) and a locking mechanism module (116) with a cam system (116A) that manages engagement and disengagement. A locking member (118) restrains the secondary hammer (114) until released by the cam system (116A). Accordingly, rotation of the shaft (104) actuates the tension member (108), moves the primary hammer (112), operates the cam system (116A), and disengages the locking member (118), enabling the secondary hammer (114) to deliver impact.
