The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A parameterized representation of a can end (e.g., for an aluminum can) may be provided. The parameterized representation may include a series of arc segments connected end to end, for example. The series of arc segments may span between an end of a center panel and an edge of the can end. Based on the parameterized representation, a set of can end profiles may be generated having differing parameter values (such as with arc segments that differ in a combination of arc segment included angle and radius). The set of profiles may be evaluated according to criteria (such as buckle pressure and mass criteria). A can end profile may be selected from the set based on performance relative to the criteria. The selected profile may include a countersink radius with a particular threshold or range, for example. The selected can end profile may be formed into a can end.
