A focal length and a total optical length of the camera optical lens (10, 20, 30, 40) are f and TTL, respectively, a focal length of the first lens (L1) is f1, a combined focal length of the first two lenses is f12, a combined focal length of last three lenses is f234, center curvature radii of an object-side surface and an image-side surface of the first lens (L1) are R1 and R2, respectively, on-axis thicknesses of the first lens (L1) and the third lens (L3) are d1 and d5, respectively, an on-axis distance from an object-side surface of the first lens (L1) to an image-side surface of the fourth lens (L4) is Td, a distance from a maximum effective aperture of an object-side surface of the third lens (L3) to a maximum effective aperture of an image-side surface of the third lens (L3) in the direction parallel to an optical axis is ET3, and the following expressions are satisfied: 0.30=f1/f=0.70; -1.40=f12/f234=-0.426; -3.00=R1/R2=-1.00; 0.16=Td/TTL=0.21; and 0.05=d5/ET3=0.66.
