Abstract: ABSTRACT: Calorie Detection System for Disaster Kitchens with SteamCal Adaptive Offline Estimation Mode This invention describes a calorie detection system specifically configured for disaster-relief and mass-feeding environments, operable under adverse conditions including optical fog, steam, elevated ambient noise, and absence of network connectivity. The system employs a compound-triggered operational state, denominated SteamCal Mode, which activates only upon simultaneous detection of said adverse conditions. Once engaged, the system executes thermo-optic steam inference for temperature-based caloric density refinement, ladle-fiducial volumetric analysis for scoop-specific portion measurement, acoustic viscosity estimation for nutrient distribution assessment, and oil-film glint analysis for lipid quantification. The outputs from these analytical modules are synthesized by an inference engine to provide per-scoop calorie values, allergen flags, and dietary advisories, including subgroup-specific recommendations for diabetic and pediatric populations. The system further incorporates a role-aware user interface adapted for high-noise and glove-worn operation, along with offline caching and delayed synchronization, thereby enabling accurate, resilient nutritional assessment where conventional calorie detection systems fail.
