Abstract: The present invention discloses a bioactive spray formulation designated as C-DFU-Recover developed for topical diabetic wound care. The formulation comprises an aqueous extract of Turbinaria conoides integrated into a chitosan-alginate polymeric network along with ' pharmaceutically acceptable stabilizing agents. The electrostatic interaction between chitosan and alginate results in formation of a biopolymeric complex that supports controlled release of the marine-derived bioactive constituents. The formulation demonstrates in vitro antioxidant activity, antimicrobial efficacy against wound-associated microorganisms, and cytocompatibility with skin cell lines. The spray delivery system ensures uniform distribution, adequate surface coverage, and maintenance of a moist wound environment. The invention provides a stable and scalable topical therapeutic platfom1 suitable for diabetic wound management.
