Abstract: The present invention discloses a bioactive polymeric spray fommlation designated as C-DFUHeal- PE spray developed for topical diabetic wound management. The formulation comprises an aqueous extract of Sargassum ilicijolium integrated into a chitosan- alginate polymeric network along with pham1aceutically acceptable stabilizing and viscosity-modifying agents. The ionic interaction between chitosan and alginate results in formation of a structured polyelectroL)'te complex that regulates the release ofmarineoderived hioactiveconstituents._Ihe_ developed fommlation demonstrates antioxidant potential, antimicrobial activity against wound-associated pathogens, and cytocompatibility with mammalian skin cell lines under in vitro conditions. The spray delivery format enables uniform application and supports maintenance of a moist wound microenvironment. The invention provides a stable, scalable, and non- invasive therapeutic system suitable for diabetic wound care.
