Abstract: The present invention discloses a bioactive polymeric spray formulation designated as CDermaFoot- Heal spray developed for topical management of diabetic wounds. The formulation comprises an aqueous extract of Padina tetrastromatica, a marine brown alga, incorporated into a structured chitosan-alginate polymeric network along with · plrarrrfaceutically ac·c·eptable stabilizing-agents. The electrostatic interaction--between chitosan --and alginate forms a polyelectrolyte complex that facilitates sustained release of marinederived bioactive compounds. The formulation demonstrates antioxidant activity, antimicrobial efficacy against wound- associated pathogens, and cytocompatibility with skin cell lines under in vitro conditions. The spray delivery system enables uniform application and supports maintenance of a moist wound environment. The invention provides a stable, scalable, and non-invasive therapeutic platform for diabetic wound repair.
