Abstract: The present invention discloses a novel sprayable polymeric fom1Ulation designated as CBioCure- DM comprising Ectocarpales extract incorporated into a chitosan-alginate biopolymeric matrix along with stabilizing agents. The f01mulation is designed for topical application in diabetic wound management. The synergistic interaction between chitosan and alginate forms a bioadhesive polyelectrolyte complex enabling controlled release ofbioactive compounds. In vitro evaluations demonstrated significant antioxidant activity, antimicrobial efficacy against wound pathogens, and cytocompatibility in skin cell models. The spray system ensures uniform distribution, enhanced moisture retention, and improved patient compliance. The invention provides a stable, non-toxic, and scalable wound care formulation suitable for diabetic wound applications.
