Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention discloses a biopolymer-based spray formulation designated as C- PolyCare-DFU developed for diabetic foot ulcer intervention. The formulation comprises an aqueous leaf extract of PhyUcmthus emblica integrated into a chitosan—alginate polyelectrolyte complex along with pharmaceutically acceptable stabilizing and viscosity- modifying agents. The ionic interaction between chitosan and alginate results in formation of a structured polymeric network capable of sustained and localized release of plant-derived bioactive constituents. The developed spray demonstrates antioxidant activity, antimicrobial efficacy against wound-associated pathogens, and cytocompatibility with mammalian skin cell lines under in vitro conditions. The spray delivery system provides uniform wound coverage, supports moisture balance, and enhances cellular migration in vitro. The invention provides a stable and scalable therapeutic platform suitable for diabetic foot ulcer management
