Abstract: Type 2 Diabetes (T2D) is a complex metabolic disorder influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. With the growing demand for precision medicine, there is an urgent need to integrate genomic data to improve disease prediction, prevention, and treatment strategies. This project aims to develop a comprehensive Type 2 Diabetes Genetic Susceptibility Database (T2D- GSD) that consolidates known and emerging genetic variants associated with T2D risk. By systematically curating data from genome-wide association studies (GWAS), whole-genome and exome sequencing projects, and peer-reviewed literature, the T2D-GSD will serve as a centralized resource for researchers and clinicians. The database will annotate each variant with relevant metadata, including allele frequency, population-specific data, fiinctional impact, and associated clinical outcomes. Advanced bioinformatics tools and machine learning models will be employed to identify patterns and prioritize high-impact variants. This resource will enable personalized risk assessment, facilitate biomarker discovery, and support the development of targeted therapies, ultimately contributing to the implementation of precision medicine approaches in diabetes care.
