Abstract: The present invention provides a dental cheek retractor for intraoral examination, visualization, and approximate measurement of oral lesions. The retractor comprises a semilunar body formed of matte black medical-grade silicone and includes a plurality of calibrated holes spaced at 1 cm intervals (5cm) along a curved surface to permit direct lesion size assessment without a separate measuring instrument. The matte black non-reflective surface reduces glare and improves visibility during clinical examination and dental photography. The patient-contacting surfaces are coated with an antimicrobial coating of AHA (acrylated hydroxy azobenzene) to reduce bacterial contamination and biofilm formation. The silicone construction is soft, flexible, comfortable to the patient, conformable to oral anatomy, and autoclavable for repeated clinical use. The device is particularly useful for measuring and documenting buccal mucosa lesions and other oral medicine applications.
