Abstract: An apparatus, method, and computer-readable medium are provided. In the context of a method, the method receives a first system information block indicating a second time based on when a first satellite is expected to connect to at least one network node. The method transmits uplink data satellite. The method receives a second system information block indicating a third time in which a second satellite was previously connected to the at least one network node and a fourth time based on when the second satellite is expected to connect to the at least one network node. The method determines whether the third time is before the second time. The method includes, if the third time is not before the second time monitoring a paging channel associated with the second satellite. The method includes, if the third time is before the second time, withholding monitoring of the paging channel associated with the second satellite.
