Abstract: ABSTRACT TORQUE DISTRIBTUION FOR BRAKING SYSTEMS IN VEHICLES Approaches for dynamically distributing torque in a vehicle are 5 described. For example, a control unit is configured to, on determining a braking demand by a driver, acquire braking parameters associated with the vehicle. The braking parameters comprise vehicle state data indicative of an operational state of the vehicle, vehicle battery information, and a braking voltage associated with the braking demand. The control unit computes a 10 braking torque required to meet the braking demand based on the vehicle state data and the braking voltage. The control unit computes a charge current limit of the battery based on the vehicle battery information. The charge current limit is indicative of a maximum direct current input flowing into the battery during charging. The control unit compares a direct current 15 input of the battery with the charge current limit. Based on the comparison, the control unit allocates the braking torque between a regenerative braking system and a dissipative friction braking system.
