The wear-adjustment 5 mechanism (110) includes a first engagement member (208), a second engagement member (206) disposed on the first engagement member (208), and a motion transmission member (202) disposed above the second engagement member (206). The second engagement member (206) is rotatable relative to the first engagement member (208). The motion 10 transmission member (202) is configured to rotate in response to a braking force applied to the vehicle. Rotation of the motion transmission member (202) beyond a predetermined extent causes the second engagement member (206) to rotate relative to the first engagement member (208) to compensate for wear of a brake shoe (102) of the brake assembly (100). 15
